“Be not afraid of greatness. Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon ‘em,” wrote William Shakespeare in the Twelfth Night. This famous adage may or may not have been true in Shakespeare’s England. But it has proved to be prophetic in the Independent India, the India that is marching ahead as a secular and democratic republic.
